LA GROLA - Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella (Vr)


Useful information about this interesting cliff, where it is possible to try a lot of routes with medium-easy level, can be found in the following web site: www.rampegoni.it


ACCESS
From the motorway BRENNERO MODENA take the exit Affi.
Follow the indications to S. Ambrogio di Valpolicella; when you arrive by the village continue in direction to Monte and the farm Agriturismo Cà Verde. Park your car and take the dirt road which is closed by a bar. After about hundred meters you will see, on your left, the trail that descent between the sector E and F.


INFOs

the practice ground for rock climbing offers about 140 ways divided in eight sectors, the lake can be seen just in the distance, even if, before the lake, you will see a wide industrial/craft area that, during the working days it is quite noisy. A visit is anyway very interesting.
The routes are facing west , it means that it is quite hot during the summer, even if the person who clips is in the shade most of the time. The nailing is good as well as the limestone rock white and grey; few routes with crumbling rock.
